Grant funds are to be used for the purpose for which they were provided. If an emergency arises and the funding is needed for another purpose, a request must be made, in writing, to the Retail Merchants Foundation, and must be approved by the Foundation’s Executive Director.
Submit the original grant request with the following information**:
1. Information Sheet
2. Letter stating your organization’s mission and what you provide to the community
a. Include amount of request
b. Description of how the money will be used
3. Board of Directors with names/contact information
4. Most current budget and Balance Sheet (do not include with copies)
5. IRS Determination Letter confirming that the organization is tax exempt under
Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (do not include with copies).
Note: If any other supporting documentation is included with the grant proposal, please only include one (1) copy to be retained in the Retail Merchants’ office for Board/Committee review.
**Submit original grant.
**Submit 8 copies of items 1 through 3. (Do not include items 4 & 5 with copies.)
**All copies must be 3-hole punched. Do not staple.
